Huppy Travel Tin
Product Description:
The travel problem, solved for pocket change. Shake about 20 toothpaste or mouthwash tablets into this aluminum tin, snap it closed, and throw it in a gym bag, a carry-on, or a coat pocket. Roughly 2.5 x 1.6 x 0.6 inches, small enough that you forget it's in there. Refill it from your full-size container and reuse it indefinitely. No TSA liquid rules, no tube slowly leaking onto your clothes. Tin only, tablets sold separately.
###
Ingredients:
Aluminum - light, dents instead of shattering, and infinitely recyclable rather than downcycled. Snap-close lid - keeps tablets dry and keeps them in the tin instead of loose in the bottom of your bag. [NEED: confirm whether this tin has Huppy's industrially compostable PLA liner, which their larger tins do have]
###
How to use:
Tip about 20 tablets in from your full-size container and snap the lid shut. Keep it somewhere dry, because tablets go soft if they sit in a damp shower bag. Wipe the inside with a dry cloth now and then instead of washing it, and if it does get wet, leave it open until it's fully dry. Then refill and repeat, basically forever.
###
The Business:
Huppy makes plastic-free toothpaste tablets, manufactured in North America, with no animal-derived ingredients in any product and Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free. They're a 1% for the Planet member, their boxes are FSC certified, and refills ship in compostable pouches.
###
End Life:
This is the part that isn't supposed to end. Refill it until it's dented and scratched and then keep going. Whenever you're actually done, rinse it, dry it, and put it in curbside metal recycling, where aluminum gets melted down and becomes aluminum again instead of turning into something worse. If there's a liner inside, peel it out first.
